The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced July 18, 2024, for the Policy Meeting on Admissions into Tertiary Institutions in Nigeria. The meeting would have other major stakeholders in the Nigerian educational sector in attendance.

These stakeholders include heads of regulatory agencies such as the National University Commission (NUC), the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), the National Council for Colleges of Education (NCCE), heads of tertiary institutions in the country, and the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), among others.

The policy meeting on admissions determines the admission standard for any particular year and the formulation of admission guidelines. It also presents application statistics and candidates’ performance evaluations as setting the acceptable minimum admissions standards for all tertiary institutions across Nigeria for the given year.
